About iRun Texas
Michele and Mitch Allen love running and each other (not necessarily in that order). The two met on the running trails in Dallas and got married in 2003, surrounded by their running friends. In 2009 they moved to San Antonio where they opened iRun Texas at the Stone Oak location.
Each having some 40 years of running experience, they shared that knowledge and passion with their customers, while providing a place for runners to connect. When people came to iRun to shop their expansive line of running shoes and apparel, customers found much more: encouragement to improve their health and fitness, quality training programs to reach their goals, and scheduled group runs among new friends.
There was a lot of love for just one store, so Michele and Mitch made room for more runners in their lives: They opened a second iRun location at Bitters/1604 in 2012 and a third store in the Dominion area in 2015. Together they recruited an amazing team of runners, teachers, students and other professionals, to provide unmatched customer service and an unprecedented retail experience, that at its heart is about one thing: sharing the love for running with others.
When Michele and Mitch aren’t at one of their stores, they’re home with their boxer, Lucy, and German Shepard, Bo, where they have 11+ acres, and enjoy raising bees, goats, and a donkey. They also make time to Facetime their daughters and grandchildren, explore the Texas hill country, and, of course, go running.

iRun Texas strives to encourage runners and walkers of all ages and abilities in achieving their highest level of health and fitness goals through our courteous and knowledgeable staff, comprehensive product line, and quality training programs.

Stores nominated for this award were subjected to a 360-degree examination process involving each store’s history, community involvement and included online nominations from you, our customers. iRun works hard to exceed your expectations and we are honored to be among America’s best.
